A film review by Dale Hazeldine
About the first manned mission to moon 1969. and years leading up to that day.
Was well written starting with a tense scene then followed by family. The whole side story and Neil and the little girl was brilliant a real tear-jerker. You really felt the connection and the family struggle. after the that you felt whole family dynamic was changing as everyone there changes
The characters we amazing Ryan Goslin performance was amazing i did not know it was Ryan Gosling. and his wife in. The movie amazing really helped. And the rest of the cast were amazing you felt the comradery between the astronaut so something you could feel during everything
The direction of the film was great having some sense in pov was a great touch and in the more intense sense having the camera right up the helmet was good. A note I have to say that sometimes it was difficult to see the emotion of the character.
Little choppy had some difficulty following along. Also, the quick chop was a bit nauseating sometimes but I understand the trying to build the seriousness of the situation.
The sound was brilliant in times with silence important times. example when landing on the door. You hear the sounds then nothing. But sometimes there was 50’s which I get because it was the era they grew up. But to it have it the middle of space. a shot of the ship from the outside. Did feel out of place.
An oscars film
